The Program
Giuliano's Music Center, with over 30 years of experience in the music
business, has created a summer program for young musicians, Giuliano’s
“Summer of Jazz”.  Summer of Jazz is open to children ages 9 through 15,
who play guitar, bass, keyboard, drums, woodwind, brass or vocals at
any ability level, beginner through advanced.  The program will
consist of one fun-filled week of music and creativity.  Participants
will be grouped by ability, age, and music preference.

Each group, guided by our professional staff of music and
art teachers, will become a band.  The bands will develop
a name; design t-shirts, posters and a unique CD cover.
They will compose an original song that will be performed
by them at a recorded concert on the evening of the last
day of the session.

Summer of Jazz will be held Monday through
Friday, with a full and exciting schedule each day.
Group lessons will be given for each of the
instruments, as well as clinics to be held by
professional musicians.  In addition, the curriculum
includes jazz playing technique, songwriting,
ensemble playing, theory, improvisation and performance.
Daily lunch breaks will include organized activities and games.

The 1 week session will be a safe and enjoyable experience,
where young musicians can establish new friendships and
learn more about music and their preferred instrument.  The
program will focus on cooperation and teamwork as the bands
work together to create a piece of their own musical artwork,
and an experience to remember long after the summer has ended.

jazz band may stop by and perform.

Art Classes
All students in their own bands will create a band name and
logo that will be used for banners, t-shirts and CD covers.
