The Program
Giuliano's Music Center, with over 30 years of experience in the music
business, has created a summer program for young musicians, Giuliano’s
“Summer of Rock”. Summer of Rock is open to children ages 9 through 15,
who play guitar, bass, keyboard, drums, or vocals at any ability level,
beginner through advanced. The program will consist of two fun-filled
weeks of music and creativity. Participants will be grouped by ability, age,
and music preference.
Each group, guided by our professional staff of music and
art teachers, will become a band. The bands will develop
a name; design t-shirts, posters and a unique CD cover.
They will compose an original song and choose
1 – 2 cover tunes that will be performed by them at a
recorded concert on the evening of the last day of
the session.
Summer of Rock will be held Monday through
Friday, with a full and exciting schedule each day.
Group lessons will be given for each of the
instruments, as well as clinics to be held by
professional musicians. In addition, the curriculum
includes pop/rock playing technique, songwriting,
ensemble playing and performance. Daily lunch breaks
will include organized activities and games.
The 2 week session will be a safe and enjoyable experience,
where young musicians can establish new friendships and learn more
about music and their preferred instrument. The program will focus on
cooperation and teamwork as the bands work together to create a
piece of their own musical artwork, and an experience to remember
long after the summer has ended.
Program Hours
Classes start promptly at 9:00 A.M. and end at 3:45 P.M. Monday
through Friday. You may drop your child off between 8:00 A.M. and

Clinics, Workshops & More…
At the end of every day, campers will be treated to a
guest professional musician who will give a
clinic/lecture, workshop, or performance.
Topics will cover performance, blues, rock,
funk, metal and alternative. From time to
time a professional rock band may stop by and perform.
Instrumental Classes
All instrumentation is broken up into two separate groups.
Group A is for students with 6 months to 2 years of
experience playing their instruments while Group B consists of students
who have played their instruments for more than 2 years.
Art Classes
All students in their own bands will create a band name and logo that
will be used for t-shirts and CD covers.
The Concert
The concert will take place at 7:00 P.M., Friday July 20th, on the main
stage. Family and friends are invited free of charge to hear and enjoy
all of the bands. This performance will be recorded live and a CD
will be given to all the participants with their individual band artwork
on the cover.
